The Office Workspace organisation MG Barkers has joined forces with International Furniture manufacturer König + Neurath (K+N City) to provide a comprehensive offering to its extensive client base of Quality Office Furniture, Seating and Room Systems.
The MG Group is based in Liverpool with regional offices throughout the UK and due to its diverse skill base, is able to undertake major workspace developments for any business or service activity throughout the private and public sector, regardless of size.

Siemens Hebburn, a large site close to Newcastle operated by the technology giant, has undergone an interior transformation.
The facility specialises in the provision of technology enabling UK power stations to provide electricity to homes, businesses and suppliers nationwide. As a key employer in the area, on-site facilities needed to match the company’s international reputation, so MG Barkers was asked to complete the overhaul.
As part of the project a comprehensive re-design and conversion of the staff washrooms took place, bringing specifications up to the highest standards in terms of both design and functionality. Adding a successful project to MG’s burgeoning portfolio, the work marks the latest in a series of contracts from major blue chip companies.
MG Barkers will be getting involved in a furniture scheme for a training room at the Lean academy Siemens Congleton. The project comes of the back of a previous succesfully delivered project for a bespoke meeting table at Siemens.
MG Barkers has recently become members of the office furniture advisory service (OFAS).
OFAS was founded in 1987 and has evolved into the leading resource in its field. OFAS is a membership organisation offering detailed and impartial information on all aspects of office and contract furniture and related subjects, and is funded by the members it serves.
OFAS also provides impartial consultancy services for specific office and contract furniture related projects – usually for facilities managers and specifiers – who may require assistance with, for example, implementing a furniture audit, advice and recommendations on furniture selection, or guidance on the most suitable procurement process.
The OFAS newsletter is quarterly and MG Barkers will now feature in this publication which is widely distributed to the trade, facilities managers and specifiers, this will be welcome publicity for MG Barkers and will provide information such as our new product offerings, company news, recent contracts, personnel news and service offerings.
MG Interiors Group are proud to unveil visuals for new look head offices in Liverpool.Since the continued growth of MG Barkers, MG Ceilings & Linings & MG Linear it has always been the Groups ambition to move to bigger premises.
Plans for the new look offices in Vesty Business Park have been afoot since March 2010, plans include a first floor working showroom. The design team along with company directors have been working closely to deliver a first class office environment that portrays MG’s vision for the future for Commercial environments.
The new unit has achieved an excellent BREEAM rating. This means that sustainability and environmental issues have been taken into account in their construction and future operations.
The provision of wind turbines provides renewable energy and contributes to the reduction of energy costs for the unit. Any surplus power may be exported via the distribution network generating income for the general use within the building. Two Roof- mounted wind turbines are fitted to the top of the building.
With this in mind a careful and selective approach to materials & construction will be used to enhance the offices environmentally friendly credentials. MG are looking to further develop the premises by investing in energy-saving equipment as specified on the Energy Technology List (ETL) which is managed by the Carbon Trust.
Internal expansion works started in July 2010 with an anticipated move date of December 2010.

MG Barkers have recently been engaged to design and install a bespoke meeting room table for Siemens. The table, due to be installed in the next few weeks, has been specially designed by Hands of Wycombe and is one of a modern high tech design. Take a look for yourself at the image below!

MG Barkers have been awarded contracts for packages of work worth a total of
£1.3m at IKEA’s latest store development in Southampton. The 34,000 sq. m.
store will extend over four floors with a 600-seater restaurant, and will
employ around 500 people.The work includes office partitions, plastering,
closed ceilings, decoration, flooring, ceramic tiling, general joinery
packages and WC cubicles.
